This is a voluntary scheme, which sees members of the public visit police custody units to check on the welfare of any detainees and the conditions of the cells.
Our annual Community Safety Volunteer awards recognise the public of South Wales who voluntarily help to keep our streets safe. Nominations open in June.
The Police Authority offers small donations to local groups each year. Applications open in October.
Surveys
We regularly carry out surveys with the public on different issues relating to the police. As part of this we have a panel of people who we contact directly to have their say.
